Welcome for Gorilla trekking, Mountain Gorillas are a subspecies of the eastern Gorillas and are listed as endangered animals by IUCN, They are found in two areas that is Bwindi impenetrable National Park in South Western Uganda and The Virunga Conservation area which consists of three national parks i.e. Mgahinga National park in Uganda, Volcanoes National park in northwestern Rwanda & Virunga National park in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC).According to their most recent counting exercise, their total number is just slightly above 1000 and It should be noted that Uganda is home to almost half of the total population of these mountain Gorillas.
