Detailed Travel Plan 

Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Bwindi forest national park

We will presume you are arriving early in the morning, before 9am, by plane or already in Kampala/Entebbe. As a result, our guide from Siiru tours and travel  will pick you up for your three-day Bwindi gorilla safari after giving you an overview of the tour and driving you there via the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara road.

After taking in the beautiful drive, you will stop at Kayabwe town’s equator for photos and testing. Then, you will continue on to the Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara for lunch along the way.

Anticipate arriving late a evening at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its varied environment, and spend the night at your lodge.

Day 2:  Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Batwa  tour.

Get up early and fill yourself on a substantial breakfast at the lodge to prepare you for the much-anticipated thrill of going gorilla trekking in Uganda.  Some times you may have to carry packaged lunch considering the length of time you will spend at the park trekking.

After that, your guide will take you to the park headquarters, where park rangers will give you a thorough lecture on the gorilla families, their behavior, and the fundamental rules for gorilla trekking that will guarantee a respectful, safe, and environmentally responsible experience.

Following the briefing, you will be split up into eight-person groups under the direction of knowledgeable park rangers and gorilla trackers, and you will be given the task of tracking a particular gorilla family or group.

Set off on the special trekking adventure into the thick forest at approximately 8 a.m. with rangers escorting you along the paths used by mountain gorillas. The position and mobility of the gorillas make gorilla trekking unpredictable, but once you’ve been tracked, you’ll cherish every step you take into the jungle.

It will take you an hour to observe gorillas up close in their natural habitat and learn about their incredible and fascinating lifestyles, provided you abide by the guidelines and procedures provided by the park rangers earlier.

One of Uganda’s most thrilling and gratifying wildlife adventures is gorilla trekking, which is also the most breathtaking activity in the Bwindi impenetrable forest and will give you an experience of a lifetime. Although it requires physical fitness and can be exhausting, gorilla trekking tours are quite gratifying as you journey through the forest.

Returning to the lodge, unwind here or visit the Batwa community, who will share stories, music, and dance to lead you through their culture. Later, enjoy dinner and rest in the reserved lodge.

Alternatively, depending on where sector you had your gorilla trekking excursion from, you can choose to go canoeing on either Lake Bunyonyi or Lake Mutanda.

 

Day 3: Return to  Kampala with a drop off to a place of your choice.

After a mouth-watering breakfast and check out of the lodge, you can decide whether to transfer back to your hotel in Kampala or direct to the airport in Entebbe or even cross the border to Rwanda and then Kigali for a city tour and your return flight.
